Ask before your first session
Check the booking information for grip-sock requirements and ask if anything is unclear. Different studios may have different policies. Arrive with what your studio requests rather than relying on a general description of reformer classes.
A reformer has moving parts and adjustable settings. Your instructor should guide spring setup, transitions, and where your feet belong. Footwear cannot compensate for an unfamiliar setup or an exercise you are not ready to perform.
Keep the grip beneath your foot
A secure fit should hold the heel and sole in place without twisting or bunching. If the sock rotates, the grip area may not meet the surface as intended. Test comfortable foot placement in the position your instructor recommends before starting a movement.
Taller cuffs and ankle styles are visual and coverage choices, not a proven hierarchy of reformer performance. Love Bella Mami’s Pilates collection gathers the existing catalog; it is not a separately tested equipment-specific range. Check verified size information once it becomes available.
Surface and condition still matter
Grip can vary with the equipment surface and the condition of the sock. Check that the sole is clean and intact. If you feel sliding or an uncertain connection, stop and tell the instructor rather than trying a bigger movement to test it.
No grip sock guarantees that you will not slip. Keep movements controlled, follow equipment guidance, and avoid treating a sole pattern as a substitute for instruction. Claims about injury prevention or quantified traction would require evidence this catalog does not provide.
Pack a practical studio kit
Bring the required socks, comfortable clothing, water if permitted, and whatever else the studio asks for. Avoid accessories or loose clothing that the instructor says could interfere with equipment. A clean pair and a simple bag routine are more useful than an elaborate outfit.
After class, remove used socks from the bag and follow their garment label. Our care guide explains a conservative approach, and the class clothing guide helps with the rest of the outfit. Browsing a style here is still a demo shopping experience, not a live order.
